Top 10 finish for 8-year-old Henry in World Junior Championships

Congratulations to 8-year-old Henry Atkinson, who finished 7th in his age category (7-8-years) at the World Junior Championships in San Diego earlier this month.

I was honoured to join Henry and dad, Luke, for the three-day tournament at Oak Glen Golf Course, which was a truly fantastic experience for us all - including getting to play two rounds at Torrey Pines!

Henry played some fabulous golf during the tournament, especially on day two with four birdies on the first four holes! He narrowly missed out on a trophy but should be exceptionally proud of a top 10 finish in his first world event. He's now training for the next one in Marbella next February, where he’ll compete against more than 250 junior golfers from around the world.

I've been coaching Henry for around three years now and he's an absolutely fantastic golfer. It's a pleasure to see him progress and I’m really proud of everything he’s achieved so far. You can follow Henry’s journey on Instagram and there’ll be lots of opportunities to continue supporting him in future weeks and months.

Well done, Henry!
