Macmillan Golf Challenge

On Friday 30 June, I took part in a 18-hour charity golf challenge with Tommy Wells, Terry Greenhough and Elliot Groves, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. It was tough - playing four rounds at four different golf courses in one day, but really good fun! I had my green trousers on to support Macmillan golf!

We started off at 4.45am - teeing off at the New Forest Golf Club. It was a good round - 23 under as a team and Mr Elliot Groves just shot a 10 under 59!! At about 9.00am, we made it to Paultons Golf Centre. 68's for me and Elliot, Tommy and Terry making birdies when we needed them.

By 1.30pm, we were at Romsey Golf Club, and at 6.00pm, we arrived at Southampton.

It was a really fun day, 76 under par for 72 holes betterball, and we raised more than £800 for Macmillan Cancer - a charity close to Tommy and Elliot's hearts. We chose to finish at Southampton City as Elliot's girlfriend's Mum, Mary Betts, played her golf there for many years and it is a very special place for her and her family. Tommy has lost grandparents and most recently his 6-year old niece to a brain tumour.

I was really proud to be able to support Tommy and Elliot, and so proud to have raised so much for such a great charity. Thank you to eveyrone who donated.
